Sheffield financial planner features alongside PM in prestigious publication
14 September 2017
Sheffield financial planner Jillian Thomas is featured in a prestigious parliamentary publication which includes a foreword by Prime Minister Theresa May.
Jillian, managing director of Future Life Wealth Management, is one of only nine financial planners across the UK included in the 2016/17 Parliamentary Review of finance.
The report, which also has a foreword by Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond, is an annual publication focusing on key governmental policy areas. It features leading organisations and executives sharing personal insight and discussing good practice, alongside Cabinet members and senior ministers.
In a piece spread over two pages, Jillian talks about building her company, the advantages of not being based in London and how the finance industry needs young, new talent.
Jillian said: “To be featured in a guide which includes a forward written by the Prime Minister is a big career highlight for me and the company. The Parliamentary Review is recognised by thousands of industry experts from across the UK, and so it fills me with great pride to be included.”
The Parliamentary Review is released to coincide with the start of the parliamentary year and is sent to over 250,000 leading business executives and policymakers. Each edition demonstrates how leaders have responded to challenges in political and economic environment. As well as the finance edition there are 11 others covering topics including healthcare, transport, agriculture and technology.
Jillian, who set up Future Life Wealth Management in 2009, said: “I set up the business in the middle of the global financial crash, and therefore faced a number of challenges. I explain this in the review and show how I’ve overcome those hurdles to help establish Future Life Wealth Management as one of the UK’s finance sector’s most prominent independent advisory firms.”
Jillian is the immediate past president of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and was only the second woman in the post in the Chamber’s 160-year history. She has just been shortlisted in the leadership category for the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.
Future Life Wealth Management, which employs ten and is based in Renishaw, offers bespoke financial planning service to generators and receivers of wealth, from business owners and executives to inheritors and retirees.
In 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, Future Life was listed in the New Model Advisor Top 100, which recognises financial planners for their qualifications, income and commitment.
