Sheffield financial planners back Sharks for second year
5 July 2018
Future Life Wealth Management is backing the Sheffield Sharks with a sponsorship deal for a second year.
The company, which is based in Renishaw, will sponsor the basketball team’s shirts for the new season which starts in September.
Jillian Thomas, managing director of Future Life, said: “Having sponsored the team for a year I have seen at first-hand how exciting basketball is and it makes me realise that there is more to Sheffield as a city of sport than just football.
“I have also been impressed by how family-friendly the games are and by the amazing community work the club does. It makes me proud to be associated with the Sharks.”
Jillian, who is a past president of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, set up Future Life Wealth Management in 2010. Jillian and the company, which offers bespoke financial services to generators and receivers of wealth, have won numerous business awards. Last month Jillian won the regional Institute of Directors Corporate Social Responsibility award.
Sheffield Sharks head coach Atiba Lyons said: “We are really pleased Future Life are backing us for another year. Sponsorship is so important to our success. And our success on the court means we can put more back in to the community. We are looking forward to the start of the season and the challenges that brings.”
The DBL Sharks play at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield. The new season starts on September 21. Tickets for games can be purchased through www.sharksbasketball.org or by calling on 0114 2573180.
