Magna to bring festive cheer with popular Christmas Fayre
17 November 2017
Magna will kick-start the festive season with the launch of its annual Christmas Fayre this month.
The visitor attraction will welcome families from across Yorkshire for a weekend of festive food, drink, shopping and entertainment. The event will take place on 25 and 26 November from 10am to 4pm.
There will be more than 40 seasonal craft and gifts stalls for families to enjoy, as well as the opportunity for children to visit Father Christmas in his grotto.
Magna has already sold nearly 50% of its pre-event tickets, and expects to welcome 4,000 visitors throughout the weekend.
Becky Gill, sales manager at Magna, said: “Every year our Family Christmas Fayre proves to be extremely popular, and it’s perfect for those looking to avoid the mayhem of Christmas shopping.
“Families come from across the region to browse through the exhibition stands, which sell everything from handcrafted goods to traditional treats. The appearance of Santa also presents a great opportunity for the children to collect an early Christmas gift and get them excited for the big day.”
During the Christmas Fayre, children can take part in a range of festive activities, including making Christmas cards, snow globes and Christmas crackers and experience traditional fairground rides.
Tickets for the Christmas Fayre cost £2.50 per adult, plus one child goes free. Additional tickets for children can be purchased for £1. Entry includes one free ride on the Christmas carousel and free entry to Magna Science Adventure Centre and Sci Tek Play Park.
Tickets can be bought online at https://www.visitmagna.co.uk/whats-on/magnas-2017-christmas-family-fayre or by contacting Magna’s events team on 01709 723146 or email@example.com.
Notes to editor
As well as organising its own programme of exhibitions festivals and parties including Magna Mayhem, Horrorcon and Oktoberfest, Magna also hosts corporate events for brands, and can cater from small meetings to large-scale events for up to 5,000 people.
The venue, which is housed in the former Templeborough steelworks near junction 34 of the M1, is an award-winning visitor attraction with more than 100 hands-on exhibits designed to explore the four elements of air, water, earth and fire.
